Layered Romance at Grelen Weddings

Mar 2, 2026 | Weddings

Some celebrations feel effortless in the way they unfold — not because they are simple, but because every detail has been thoughtfully layered to create a seamless experience from beginning to end.

Brittany and Ryan’s wedding at Grelen Weddings was exactly that. A refined garden celebration where softness met structure, and every design choice felt intentional.

With planning by JLM Design & Events and florals by Tupelo Floral Co., the day balanced romance with architectural presence — a pairing we love to see brought to life.

The Welcome: A Statement in Lattice & Florals

Guests were greeted with one of our Freestanding Customizable Lattice Walls, transformed into an escort display that felt both sculptural and romantic. Rather than overwhelming the design, the lattice detailing added subtle texture, allowing each individual escort card to feel framed within the structure.

A lush floral installation grounded the base, softening the geometry of the wall and creating a moment that felt layered and dimensional. The blush tones echoed throughout the day, weaving a cohesive thread from welcome to reception.

It was a perfect example of how a single architectural element can anchor a space while still allowing florals and paper to shine.

The Bar Moment: Soft Structure Meets Garden Romance

The bar installation became one of the defining design moments of the evening.

Featuring our White Shadowbox Bar with White Estate Insert and 8′ Inset Arch Display Wall with Shelves with florals and greenery, the setup felt both polished and inviting. The soft tones paired effortlessly with the surrounding landscape at Grelen, while the curved silhouette echoed the architectural lines of the venue itself.

The detailing, from the inset panels to the clean bar top, created a refined foundation that allowed Tupelo Floral Co.’s arrangements to take center stage.

This is where collaboration truly shines. Rentals provide structure; florals bring movement; planning ensures flow. Together, the result feels cohesive rather than decorative.

Reception Under the Tent

Inside the tent, round tables dressed in crisp linens were paired with classic bistro-style chairs, creating a timeless silhouette that allowed the florals to feel abundant without becoming overwhelming.

The dance floor and stage backdrop carried the same layered approach seen throughout the day. Greenery, florals, and architectural elements framed the DJ booth, transforming what could have been a functional area into a true focal point.

The overall effect was immersive, not because of excess, but because of thoughtful repetition. Arches, lattice detailing, soft blush tones, and natural greenery appeared in subtle ways across every vignette.

That repetition is what makes a design feel complete.

The Details That Complete the Story

From the patterned paper elements by Dogwood & Douglas to the cake display styled by Cakes by Rachel Bakeshop, every detail felt aligned with the larger aesthetic.

The getting-ready moments at Boxwood Villa set the tone for the day, and Kristen Camielle Photography captured each layered element with softness and clarity. Through her lens, the intentionality behind every piece becomes even more apparent.

This celebration was not about a single standout moment. It was about cohesion. About creating a space that felt romantic without being overly ornate, structured without feeling rigid, and refined without losing warmth.

A Great Design Starts With Great Decor

We believe that great design is never accidental. It is the result of collaboration, intention, and carefully curated pieces that support the overall vision.

Brittany and Ryan’s wedding was a beautiful reminder that when structure and softness are balanced well, the result feels timeless.

If you’re dreaming up your own layered garden celebration, we would love to help bring it to life.
