Layered, Textural, and Thoughtfully Curated

May 6, 2026 | Weddings

This October wedding, designed by Shannon Leahy Events and captured by Jenny Quicksall, is a masterclass in layering.

Every detail — from furniture to linens to lighting — worked together to create a space that felt elevated, cohesive, and deeply intentional. Nothing competed for attention, yet every element had a presence. The result was a design that felt refined without being rigid, and warm without feeling overly styled.

Building the Foundation

The foundation of the design started with versatile, classic pieces like our Light Wood Round Pedestal Dining Tables and White Estate Banquettes. These grounded the space while allowing the surrounding textures and color palette to take shape naturally.

Paired with Willamette Chairs and Cane Back Barstools, the seating struck a balance between structure and softness. The mix of wood tones and silhouettes created visual interest without disrupting the overall cohesion of the design.

Statement Bars & Natural Flow

Bars weren’t treated as an afterthought. They were built into the experience.

The White Shadowbox Bar with White Estate Insert with the White Estate Bar acted as intentional focal points in the outdoor space. Clean lines and a bright finish kept them feeling light, while their placement helped guide guest movement and create natural gathering areas.

These were both functional touchpoints and part of how the event was experienced.

Dining That Feels Collected, Not Styled

One of the most striking aspects of this design is how layered the dining spaces feel.

With linens from Nuage Designs, Theoni Collection, and others, each table carried its own subtle variation—different textures, tones, and patterns that all worked within the same palette. The furniture anchored the look, allowing the linens and tabletop details to bring dimension without overwhelming the space.

It’s the kind of approach that feels curated rather than coordinated.

Lounge, But Elevated

The lounge areas leaned into texture, comfort, and contrast.

With pieces like the Caned Daybed, Camilla Chairs, and Seagrass Coffee Tables, the design invited guests to slow down and settle in. Pink Clover Poufs and Velvet Poufs added softness and a subtle pop of color, while layered rugs and natural wood accents helped define each space.

Even smaller details—like the Round Seagrass End Tables and scalloped variations—added just enough variation to keep the design interesting from every angle.

A Cohesive Creative Vision

What makes this event stand out isn’t just the individual pieces—it’s how seamlessly everything came together.

From lighting by Technical Event Company to the tenting structure by S&K Event Productions, every layer was considered. The rentals didn’t just fill the space—they worked alongside every other vendor element to support a cohesive visual story.

Nothing felt out of place. Nothing felt like an afterthought.

Let’s Build Something This Intentional

Design like this doesn’t happen by accident. It’s built piece by piece. Let’s create something just as curated for your event.
