Nestled among the rolling hills of Virginia wine country, Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards offers sweeping mountain views, thoughtfully designed event spaces, and a setting that feels equally suited for timeless celebrations and completely personalized designs. It’s easy to see why it has become one of the most sought-after wedding venues in the region.
For these celebrations, the design teams leaned into Pippin Hill’s natural beauty while incorporating custom rental elements that elevated each space and added layers of personality throughout the guest experience.
A Ceremony Framed by the Landscape
One of the most striking features of Pippin Hill is the ceremony lawn overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains. Rather than competing with the view, the design embraced it.
The ceremony seating featured our Willamette Chairs, creating a clean and sophisticated foundation that complemented the surrounding landscape. Their natural wood finish felt right at home against the setting while still maintaining an elevated look worthy of the occasion.
Thoughtful floral installations and soft color palettes enhanced the view without distracting from it, allowing the scenery to remain the star of the show.
Custom Details That Made a Statement
One of our favorite aspects of these events was the creative use of customization throughout the design.
Our Set of Customizable Stage Facades received a complete transformation with fronts painted in a rich olive tone that perfectly complemented the surrounding florals and vineyard setting. What began as a blank canvas became a completely bespoke design element that seamlessly tied into the overall aesthetic.
The customization continued with our Homestead Column, which was stained in a dark finish and wrapped in floral wallpaper for an unexpected and artful detail. The result felt less like a rental piece and more like a custom-built installation designed specifically for the event.
These are the kinds of details that demonstrate how even small design moments can have a significant impact when they’re thoughtfully executed.
Bringing Comfort and Style Outdoors
Guest experience is just as important as aesthetics, especially during outdoor celebrations.
To create inviting gathering spaces throughout the property, the design incorporated both our Market Umbrella in a Black Base and our White Fringe Umbrella in a White Scalloped Base. The fringe umbrella became a standout feature, with the base beautifully concealed beneath a lush floral installation that made it feel fully integrated into the event design.
These pieces provided practical shade while contributing to the layered, editorial feel of the celebration.
A Reception That Felt Warm and Welcoming
Inside the reception space, the Willamette Chairs made another appearance, creating continuity between the ceremony and reception while helping to unify the overall design.
Lush floral arrangements, soft linens, and carefully selected rentals worked together to create an atmosphere that felt elegant yet approachable. Pippin Hill’s bright interior architecture provided the perfect backdrop, allowing every design element to shine without feeling overwhelming.
The result was a celebration that felt deeply connected to its surroundings while still reflecting the couple’s unique vision.
