A Wedding Inspired by Portugal, Designed With Heart

Jun 22, 2026 | Weddings

Some events are memorable because they’re beautiful. Others are memorable because they mean something.

For us, Jamie and Tyler’s wedding was both.

Jamie spent years as Paisley & Jade’s Director of Operations before moving into her current role as a planner with Katey Clark Creative. She knows our inventory inside and out. She understands every customization option, every design detail, and every late-night brainstorming session that turns an idea into reality. So when she and Tyler envisioned a wedding inspired by their travels through Portugal, we were all in.

The result was a celebration that felt immersive from the very first moment guests arrived at The Foundry. Rich terracotta tones, custom tile-inspired patterns, playful fringe details, and architectural elements borrowed from Portuguese design created an environment that felt equal parts destination wedding and personal love story.

A Ceremony Framed by Color and Character

The ceremony took place on a custom-painted round platform finished in Sherwin-Williams Easy Green, surrounded by our Yuba Chairs with Scallop Cushions. The soft green stage echoed the lush landscape while adding a fresh pop of color against the venue’s historic stone backdrop.

Throughout the ceremony space, every design choice felt intentional. The combination of organic florals, sculptural seating, and carefully layered textures established the visual language that would continue throughout the celebration.

Custom Details at Every Turn

If there was one theme that tied this wedding together, it was customization.

Jamie and Tyler wanted guests to feel transported, and every detail helped tell that story.

Our team created custom CNC-cut lattice walls and medallions that appeared throughout the event design. Tile-inspired patterns were incorporated across multiple installations, creating visual continuity from cocktail hour to the reception.

One of the most talked-about elements was a series of custom freestanding walls featuring dimensional architectural details, including:

  • Custom lattice designs
  • Built-in shelves and medallions
  • A terracotta awning trimmed with fringe
  • Wallpaper-inspired tile patterns
  • And yes—a functioning fountain integrated directly into the wall design

It was the kind of installation that stopped guests in their tracks and perfectly captured the spirit of Portuguese architecture in a way that still felt playful and modern.

Cocktail Hour With a Mediterranean Twist

The cocktail hour design was packed with personality.

Our Customizable Half Oval Bar was painted in a warm in-house terracotta and finished with custom fringe installations in honey gold and tangerine. Behind the bar, White Horizon Shelves displayed glassware and décor, while tabletop lamps added warmth and character.

Nearby, White Wilhelm Cocktail Tables paired with Fringe Umbrellas created intimate gathering spaces for guests. Layers of coral, peach, terracotta, chartreuse, and sage green worked together to create a palette that felt vibrant without overwhelming the space.

Custom pedestals in coral, peach, terracotta, and white showcased florals throughout the event, while our Market Stand with a Terracotta Velvet Awning added another charming architectural moment.

A Reception Designed for Discovery

As guests entered the tented reception, the Portugal-inspired design story continued.

A custom coral stage with wallpaper detailing anchored the space, while a coordinating Customizable Stage Facade tied everything together. Overhead, dramatic floral installations and fringe accents added movement and dimension.

The lounge areas featured some exciting pieces that guests may recognize as newer additions to our inventory, including:

Combined with light wood pedestal tables, Willamette chairs, and layered greenery, the lounges felt welcoming, colorful, and effortlessly relaxed.

One of our favorite moments was seeing how the custom tile motifs appeared throughout the reception design, from walls and bars to stage elements and decorative accents. The repetition created a cohesive visual experience that felt thoughtfully curated rather than themed.

A Celebration We Won’t Forget

We love helping clients create events that feel deeply personal, but there’s something especially meaningful about designing for someone who has been part of our story.

Jamie helped shape so much of what Paisley & Jade is today. Being able to help bring her wedding vision to life alongside Katey Clark Creative was an honor we won’t soon forget.

This celebration perfectly showcased what happens when custom fabrication, thoughtful design, and a clear creative vision come together. Every wall, every fringe detail, every painted finish, and every tile-inspired pattern worked together to create an experience that felt uniquely Jamie and Tyler.

And if you happened to spot a few new inventory pieces along the way? Consider that your sneak peek of what’s still to come.
