This past year at P&J has been nothing short of extraordinary. We’ve grown our team, added amazing items to our collection, and had lots of fun along the way!!
We kicked off year five by growing our team of #pandjpeeps by one more!! Ariana had been working with our delivery crew, and we were so excited to have her join our team full time as our Warehouse Coordinator!!! (photo by Stephanie Yonce Photography)
Year five also brought along some collaborations with amazing conferences, creatives, and entrepreneurs – like our dear friends at The School of Styling! We loved working on their summer bash at the Merrimon-Wynne House, and have since collaborated on other events, including their upcoming conference being hosted here at Highpoint & Moore! We also had the opportunity to partner with Tuesdays Together (the local networking group of The Rising Tide Society) to host the Creative Marketplace, a pop-up shop celebrating makers in RVA! We loved helping create this exterior installation on the building, with lettering by Rachel Hummiston. (photo by Kathryn Ivy Photography)
We continued to work with some amazing P&J Coaching clients, and after several requests, expanded our offerings and opened the P&J Shop, where we have tons of digital resources available for download, including forms and processes we use in our business, and a free guide to hashtags for event professionals!!!!
As our clientele continued to grow, we excitedly have continued to add more custom items to our collection. We expanded our bars to include tons of different options, added new lines of tables, and incorporated more architectural pieces into the collection as well!
Our Tufted Homestead Bars were the perfect fit for The Wedding Crashers Tour at The Branch Museum, and you can see more of Stephanie Yonce Photography’s photos of the event here!
We also debuted our Flippin Low Set Tables at a private pool party captured by Camille Catherine Photography.
With all this new inventory, we needed a bigger boat!!! So we bit the bullet and brought home PANDJ2, our 26′ box truck!!
We spent a HUGE amount of time in year 5 working on a top-secret, super-intense, detail-filled marketing project – #pandjinprint!!!! Our first ever print catalog rolled out in August of 2016, and was such a hit that we followed it up with Volume 2 in early 2017! (PS – If you want to get your hands on a copy, there are still a few available here!)
Our team continued to grow in year five when we brought on the most fabulous Rental Coordinator, Erin!!!
In addition to being an amazing resource to our clients when it comes to helping them select the perfect rentals for their event, Erin is a brilliant artist, and has been killing it with her hand lettering!!! (photos by Stephanie Yonce Photography)
Since the gang was all here, we had our good friends The Herrintons come spend some time with us to help tell our story with video.
After a couple sessions of filming, we had the most delightful film to share with the world!!!
We had some incredible opportunities to participate in the growing event industry here in RVA, like getting to visit the brand new event space at Main Street Station (thanks to our friends at Mosaic)!
And year five also saw the debut of our #pandjpretties on HGTV!! Being a part of the Richmond Rehabbers premiere with the folks at Cobblestone Development Group was a HUGE highlight for us, and we can’t wait to continue working with them on projects similar to this first one! We spent halloween dressed as P&J themed things (from L to R: Perkins as Stephen, Tyler as Damages, Stephen as the Gothic Candelabra, Ariana & Mandy as pillows, and Morgan as Tyler)…
…took a team field trip to crossfit (you can see how excited we were!!)…
…and we went out for popsicles at King of Pops, of course!!!!
It’s been an incredible journey so far, and we can’t wait to see where the next five bring us. Thanks so much for being a part of our story – we can’t thank you enough for being a part of this crazy ride!!!!
